So, I was thinking of taking my camera along so I can post pictures of the things I am dealing with as far as spending money. Let me know what you think. If I get more Yes votes than No votes, it will be ON!!

So, I just spent the last 40 minutes updating this blog. I added a picture and POOF!! The whole thing disappeared! DAMMIT!! How annoying is that??

So I will have to try to remember what I had said. Hum. Can't remember.

So I will start over.

Yesterday went ok.

Got my coffee in the morning. Ok, that is getting a little boring. Maybe tomorrow I should say something like......

Got my Vodka in the morning.


OK, back to the day......

Went to see my branches.

I met a coworker for lunch. We had a nice GRIPE session. You know the kind, sitting there complaining about how everyone drives you crazy at work. I wonder how many GRIPE sessions there are about me. I can't imagine why? What's to complain about? Everyone loves me! :-)

After work I went and bought a few groceries..... Ok, more than a few.

As you can see in my blog it has been forever since I bought food. I have been living on toast for dinner. So I thought I had better pick up some things.

OK FINE! five. SHEESH!


That was yesterday.

Today was good. I got my Vodka and headed to visit one of my branches. Then another, then another. (Branches, not vodka) Had lunch with a couple coworkers.

That was about it.

Oh, wait!


I went to the Franklin Covey store and exchanged my planner that I didn't use for a smaller one. Wanna see?? Ok, hang on......

It is much smaller than I used to use. I have so many appointments each day, I hope they all fit. I only had to pay $8 for the difference in the prices. Then came straight home.

Tomorrow is my Wedding Anniversary, but I told HUBS we aren't going to buy each other gifts as I need to get the debt paid off. I told him I will have to give him something else that doesn't cost money. WHOOP He heeeeee! tee heeeee HAAAA HAAAAA!

he was happy. ;-)

I did the same thing at Christmas for my family. I told them I will do other things. Like my grandparents, I changed their light bulbs. My son I got him a PSP game with a rewards card I got for Best Buy. So I didn't have to spend anything for gifts. My grandma is in her eighties and can't remember anything, so I made my mom search with me in her garage for an antique crystal candy dish. I spent about 2 hours and typed up every memory I could think of about her and I and cut them into strips. I then folded them all and put them in the candy dish. I told her that there is enough memories in there that she can choose a piece of paper each day and read the memory. I am hoping it will help her to remember, but if not, I told her to use her imagination.

So today was a good day. Here is how the days ended:

EBAY SALE! READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Ebay was having a special listing price today so I spent until now listing new items for sale. And believe me "I'm pooped!" I probably saved about $4 doing it tonight instead of another day, but every penny is getting me closer to being debt free.

WENT SHOPPING TODAY.....DID I BUY??

Ok, so I went shopping with a friend today.

We started the day with sleeping in until NOON.....yes noon! It was great!

We then went and got some breakfast......Not so great. There was something definitely wrong with the food. It just wasn't their day in the kitchen.

We then grabbed some coffee and off to the mall we go!

I was on a mission for one thing. UGG BOOTS!

I have wanted some for a long time and thought I would get some with my Christmas money.

These are the ones I wanted.....

So I ask for my size and sit and wait......and wait.........and wait......

Ok, why did I decide to do this the day after Christmas?

They bring me the only pair left and I am so excited. I put the shoes on and.....

"I hate the way they look."

What is the big Whoop about these? I thought it was going to be some amazing feeling and that I would look really cute and they just look like really tall SLIPPERS!

Man, that was such a waste of excitement. I am so going to make sure I get a much better reaction on an item before I go to get it. What a downer :-)

So, after such an exciting shopping experience I realized I am starting to really not like shopping so much anymore. I had such an eye opening experience. I thought

"I wasted so much time shopping before."

I mean, I had to buy something everyday. I spent so much time spending on crap I didn't even need. I bought stuff I saw someone else wear and thought

"She looks so amazing, if I get that same purse I will be amazing too."

or

"I will be more organized if I buy that new wallet."

or

"I will spend less money if I buy the purse I really want."

I am not like that now. I think before I buy and I don't go unless I need something. So I decided that I am going to put this money towards my debt. It is what I want more than anything so it is like buying myself something for Christmas......buying freedom from debt. Or getting a little bit closer to being debt free anyway.

I love these shoes! They are trendy and practical. Ok........maybe not.........but they are so cute! I have them in silver and wear them every weekend. Why oh why must they have so many colors!

Maybe if I had a cute mug like this, I wouldn't mind making my coffee at home. I love anything Tinkerbell. I am such a girl!

Ok, I would need a money tree for this one. I love letting the wind blow through my fine blond hair! People will ask me

"Wow, is your hair color real?"

and I will say

"Yeah.......REAL EXPENSIVE!!" "I had to pick off half my tree to have it done."

COFFEE, TICKET AND DENTIST BILL.....OH MY!

OK, today was not a good money day....no not at all.

I got my coffee as normal and it went downhill from there. I just want to tell you that I didn't shop....no not for a second.

But I did get a few things I had to pay today or I would have had issues.

Ok, so I went to visit one of my financial centers. I was only going to be there a few minutes but ended up staying an hour and 12 minutes. How do I know exactly how long.

BECAUSE I GOT A $25 PARKING TICKET DAMMIT!!!!!!

OK, that was the cheapest thing today.

So here is how lunch went.......I kid you not............

Coworker: "Let's grab some dim sum."

Me: "OK."

We get to the entrance of the restaurant and coworker says

CW: "Pay for my lunch today, will you?" "I owe $5,000 on my AMEX card."

Me: "Yeah right, WHATEVA!!"

We sit down and order our dim sum...........we are eating and talking, talking and eating.

CW: "Hey, do you want one of these? Here get two. Oh, get one of those too......and two of those."

My eyebrows raise here.

We finish eating...........and I mean eating.

Then the bill comes.

CW: "Here you go."

OK, pick your mouth up off the floor, I'm getting an echo in here."

I open the bill and it is $50! For frickin lunch!!!!

I am still in shock and I say

Me: "I have never paid this much for lunch in my entire life."

big ass frickin hint, right?

nope.

CW: "I will get it next time."

Are you kidding? There will never be a next time. Does he realize I am going to have to put this expenditure in my blog??

OK, I now have a $25 ticket, I had to pay frickin $50 for lunch..........oh wait.............do you think he even offered to pay the tip?

HELL NO!!

ARGGGH!

So, I didn't think it could get worse. Until..........

Ring, Ring........

Me: "This is Leigh Ann."

Dentist Person: "You have an outstanding balance of $329 for your son's dental work."

Me: "What? I paid you guys."

Dentist Annoying Woman: "This is the amount the insurance won't cover."

After arguing with her for over 20 minutes I finally give up and say

"Fine, but I want a receipt!"

Man, I told her didn't I?

Yeah, don't MESS witt me, sista!

TWO COOL THINGS HAPPENED TODAY....

So two cool things happened today.



I did a taste test to earn a little extra cash. Ok, I almost died! It was testing these ham and cheese things. I think it was the picture at the left.

So they had 4 different ones. Ok, four WHOLE ones! And they say

"Eat enough to form an opinion." Oh, great.

I try the first one

"Not too bad, but the bread is soggy, the ham was too thick and I think they had a problem with the smoker because "MAN WAS IT SMOKIN' !"

Ok, the second one was...... HOO BABY!

They had the Hot Pocket thing and inside was this long WAY TOO THICK piece of ham. Just one piece! OK......I love long, thick pieces of meat, but this one was just WRONG!

The other two were no better than the last two. By the time we got to the third one we were all dying. Every few seconds I would here....

"Can I have some more water please?" And this isn't an easy task, because you are sitting in this sterile, tiny booth with just a sliding up and down door that they push the item through and all you see is their gut. So to make sure she didn't shut the door too fast I had to throw my cup through it.

As we all walked out we were like....

"That was the most disgusting thing I ever tasted. Were they serious?"

"Do they think we have no taste buds?"

"I can't believe I did this for $25!"

So that is the first thing. At least I made $25.

I saw one of my best friends today. She came from New York for a short visit. And I mean short! I saw her and my old boss for all of 45 minutes. So I drop them off at the airport and drive away. I see my phone ringing and it is her. I am thinking "Awe, she misses me already."

I click on my phone.....................nothing........

She calls again...............Click...........nothing

What is wrong with my phone??

By the fifth time I am screaming in the car (it is pouring rain by the way)

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY DAHN PHONE!

CLICK...............NOTHING!

So I pull over to Cingular and look down, and what do I see? HER PHONE

She forgot her phone in my car.

So I turn her phone on and call her man's phone.

"Ok, I'm guessing you are calling me because T's phone is in my car."

Old Boss: "Yes, can you run it back to the airport, we board in 30 minutes."

"I'm on my way."

Ok, I just spent 10 minutes bawling telling them how much I miss them and that if I wasn't afraid to fly I would come to Manhattan and live on their couch for a week. Now I have to go back and go through the same thing again. I was so depressed when I left.

T: "Old boss, thinks I planned this so I can see you again. He is so mad."

Me: "Oh, please, tell him: What do you have to do but wait for a plane anyway."

So I bawl again and drive off. As I turned I looked in and saw her waving through the window..........at least I think it was her.......if not, I am just going to think it was and that she missed me so much she had to wave through tinted windows because she loves me so much.

After I left her I went straight to Cingular. I asked them if I was eligible to upgrade that my phone is broken, he goes through that macho.....

"Hmm, let me take a look at it." "Yes, it looks like it doesn't work."

Ok, the word DUH! comes to mind......

I asked if they had the pink Razr phone as that is my favorite color. He said TMobile is the only one that has them.

I decided to go and talk to them to see if they have better plans. And boy, was I getting ripped off!

Here is what I ended up getting..........

Not only that, but they have this new local plan, where you get 3,000 local minutes. As long as you only make calls to California the plan is only $40. I almost never call anyone outside of California. And if I do, I just tell them to call me back and it doesn't count.

I use my phone for work, so I am on the phone almost all day. I will be saving a hundred bucks a month!

I was still in the contract with Cingular and the guy at TMobile paid for it. KICK BUTT!

So, I got the phone for $199, but it will pay off big time! I am so happy!.....Ok, a little stressed about paying $199, but what am I going to do? I need one that has Bluetooth and they were all the same price.

I will lighten up on the lunch first as the coffee thing really helps me get through the day. Although I was inspired so I only got the nonfat latte and no pastry.

I just had a great conversation with an online friend, Alyce. She really motivated me. So tomorrow I will be getting up, going to the gym, not buying any pastries, bringing my lunch and having dinner at home.

I am saying goodbye to fatty foods for good!..............Ok at least tomorrow!

Today was the same as it has been for a while....Except OH!..............I said no to 2 people who asked me to go shopping. I couldn't believe it! Both would have been a dream come true before I started this blog, but now I am just like "I want to be home talking to myself on this computer".

Ok, that is a little depressing.

PARTY DOWN WITH THE UNDERTAKERS!

For those of you who don't know, my husband works for the coroners office. He picks up people from the "Place of Death".

I like to think people are "Dying" to meet my husband. He is very popular.

So we had dinner with all his coworkers. Do you know what it is like to have dinner conversation about a coffee ground like substance all over someone and then to find out it is blood everywhere that was rejecting the body. Ok, I don't know about you, but I had a hard time swallowing my seared ahi after that conversation.

So, I am home now and the rest of the day was pretty uneventful. I went to the gym at 5:30 this morning, had lunch with some coworkers and then dinner with the people who see dead people. All in all it was pretty dead. Get it?

I have not shopped in so long! I am surprised people haven't sent me "Get Well Soon" cards from the shops. You know you are in trouble when they see you on the street and know you by name.


Store Lady: "Hi Leigh Ann, How are you?"

Me: "Do I know you?"

Store Lady: "It's Gretchen from Nordstrom, silly. Are you feeling ok?"

Me: "Why, do I look sick?" (I start to pull out my compact)

Store Lady: "No, No, it's just that I haven't seen you in so long, I thought something was wrong."

Me: "Yes, something is wrong....I'm a bulimic! Shopper that is! I can't control myself."

Store Lady: Funny look in her eyes.

Store Lady: "OK, yeah, so I will see you soon." (Store Lady takes off her shoes to get more traction and phew!.....she is off!"

Needless to say I don't think she will be seeing me again soon. :-)

So I think I am getting over the daily purchase need thanks to all you guys and this blog.

I am feeling a bit lonely as I am only getting one or two comments on this thing and don't think anyone really cares. (wiping away tears)

So the last couple days have been good except for eating lunch. I have been eating lunch everyday. Spending about $15 each time. I am going to focus on that next week.

So here is how today went.

Starbucks $3 in the morning. My friend bought me a mocha after lunch so I did ok there.

What a DAY!

So I start the day with my normal nonfat latte at Starbucks and I go to one of my branches.

This is the old Cock Roach branch. You can read about the wonderful cock roach issue that they had in my previous blog. Today was not an issue with roaches. But here is how this branch visit went.

Me: "I will be right back. I am just going to use the restroom."

Banker: "Uh, ok."

So I go to use the restroom and I swear I know the code on the door to get back in. So here I am....

"176384....CLUNK!"

Me: "Hum....I thought that was the number."

"156834....CLUNK"

Me: "Um, maybe it's this number."

"184357.....NEE NER! NEE NER! NEE NER!!"

OK, needless to say I didn't get the number right and practically caused a toilet chaos!

So I go out the back door and walk all the way around and said the only thing that came to my mind....

"I just ran to get coffee! :-) " Funny as I had no coffee! SMOOOTH......

Definitely better than the roach problem.

So I worked there for a while, went to another financial center (no bathroom mishaps there) and left for the day.

I went to a taste test tonight and earned an extra $40. They asked if I was interested in taking an extra 15 minutes to give my opinion so I said "SURE!"

After they asked if I liked the color, the taste, the smell of.......Yes.......Soda, they gave me an extra 10 bucks! Kick butt!

I used $20 for laundry quarters and will put the other $40 in the debt be gone account.

So I grabbed some coffee and a chocolate chip cookie for lunch (since I can't seem to get enough fat into my diet) and here I am.

Did I miss a day or two?

So, I think I missed a day or two. I would like to say it is because I have been sick, but I guess a sore throat doesn't mean my hands are numb and I can't feel the keys.

Let's just say I am here and ready to talk!

I went to the holiday party this weekend. This is how it went:

Friend: "Let's get a room so we don't have to drive home."

Me: "That would be so much cheaper than getting our own room. How much will it be?"

Friend: "Well if we have two more people stay it would only be $30 a person."

We ended up with three of us in one room. We had two double beds. We didn't even fight about who sleeps where. They shared a bed and I was a princess in my own. I just told them they are skinnier than me and they will fit better. Thank you extra pounds!!

So let's just say the food was a bit bland and the DJ, OH! The DJ! Can we say "Get out of the 70's buddy and play something in this century!"

So after I danced to "Y" "M" "C" "A" da da da da da da da.......................

I said I was going up to the room. I get into my jammies and an hour later the girls come up and say

"We're hungry!"

What was I thinking? I actually got up and drove us to Dennys. The "this is the worst food ever" restaurant.

They had a bit too much to drink. Do you think that is why we ended up at the table in the back with a beautiful view of the men's room and the kitchen? Just to let you know, there wasn't anything beautiful about it.

So we had some disgusting food at 1 in the morning and I'm telling you after they started singing and almost crying in their chicken fried scary something, I was starting to think I should have sprung for the $38 eggs at room service.

We went back to the room and passed out. We woke when the cleaning lady came in. "Whoops, so sorry!"

I was like, sorry for what? Did you bring coffee?

We rolled out of bed and grabbed some breakfast at my favorite restaurant on the way home. I spent a total of $57 for a wonderful bland tasting weekend!

I saved $50 on the room so I didn't do bad at all! Now I just have to look at my balance in my bank account and pay some bills.

But not right now....................I have a sore throat! :-)
